Fox & Fern started during a time when life felt heavier than usual for me. Writing songs became a way to work through things that didn’t always make sense at the time. What began as something personal, sitting with a guitar and trying to put thoughts into words, slowly grew into something that needed to be shared. Around that time, a trip to Alaska left a lasting impression. Being surrounded by mountains and wide open space brought a kind of quiet that had been hard to find before. Away from the noise of everyday life, things started to feel clearer, and that clarity played a big part in the decision to really push Fox & Fern further. Over time, Fox & Fern grew from a private outlet into a project built around telling stories and emotion through music. The goal has always been simple: write songs that feel genuine and capture thoughts people often keep to themselves, including my own. At its core, Fox & Fern is about connection. Taking what feels personal and giving it a place outside of myself.
